Come join Michael Chase, and his partner Kari Carter, each week as they teach group dance lessons.  They teach Swing (West Coast, East Coast and Shag), Latin (Cha-Cha, Salsa, Rumba and Merengue), Ballroom (Hustle and Waltz), the Night Club,  Country Western Two Step and Polka at Wedding Parties, Country Clubs, High Schools, Colleges and Churches all over the metro Atlanta area.

Michael Chase (Mike) is a 2004 UCWDC World's Dance Champion and currently competes in the Classic II Couples Division.  He, along with his dance partner Kari Carter, was a  2008 Peach State Dance Champion,  a  2007 and 2008 Orange Blossom Dance Champion, a  2007 and 2008 Southern National Dance Champion, a  2008 Christmas in Dixie Dance Champion   and finished 3rd at the 2008 UCWDC World's Championship.  Mike is  a  2004 Peach State Swing Champion and a  2003 Christmas in Dixie Champion.  He is a member of the 'Swing Shift',  Atlanta's West Coast Swing competition dance team,  which won the 2004 Dallas Dance Championship (Texas), the 2004 Michigan Swing Championship and was the Runner-Up at the 2004 UCWDC World's Team Championship.  Mike has hosted group dance lessons at Colleges, Churches, Nightclubs, Country Clubs and High Schools all over Atlanta for over six years.

Kari Carter began dancing at age seven and has extensive training in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Pointe and Lyrical.  Kari is the Founder and Artistic Director of PHWD Dance Studio.  She currently competes in the Classic II Division in the UCWDC and has, along with her partner Mike, won the 2008 Peach State Dance Championship,   the  2007 and 2008 Orange Blossom Dance Championship, the 2007 and 2008 Southern National Dance Championship, the 2008 Christmas in Dixie Dance Championship  and finished 3rd at the 2008 UCWDC World's Dance Championship.   Founded in 1994, PHWD is now home to a faculty of 14 instructors who train over 400 dancers in virtually every form of dance. Kari is a guest instructor for various schools, studios, workshops and training programs throughout metro Atlanta.
